Lakeside Estate wedding photography featuring Sydney and Colin. Their wedding took place in late fall when the trees have all lost their leaves. We got lucky with soft lighting during their entire day which really helps when the trees are bare and can’t defuse light as much.
About the Venue
Lakeside as Welsh Estate is now known as Lakeside Estate by Waverly, a sister venue to Waverly Estate. Although the name has changed, all that they offer remains the same. The Estate house is mainly used for beautiful getting ready photos. Although the groom’s quarters tends to lean more darker with less natural light, it’s still great for those candid shots of the guys all enjoying their time together. Typically, we will take the groom outside or upstairs in the living room area for some button up photos.
We also recommend that bride’s reserve the main bedroom upstairs as their primary getting ready spot. This room is spacious and had gorgeous lighting.
The Dock is a must for a ceremony. you can’t go wrong with saying your vows on an immaculately kept deck overlooking the lake. Double points if you can plan your ceremony during golden hour! Another great location that I have seen is by the large tree in the open field right of the dock.
For the reception, their glass enclosed tent offering AC and heat to ensure your guests stay as comfortable as possible! The glass tent also provides tons of natural light so that we can photograph great reception details in consistent lighting.
