Introducing Chloe + Tyler
Chloe and Tyler’s early fall Hollyfield Manor wedding took place in town outside of Richmond, Virginia. Their color palette was colorful yet soft. They decided on a ceremony that overlooked the lake and they also wanted to incorporate Tyler’s dad’s antique powder blue convertible!
The Wedding Day
Their wedding day took place in late September on a pretty overcast day. This worked out great because it gave us much more flexibility when it can to photos and backdrops. Chloe and Tyler both come from very close knit families so the getting ready portion of full of smiles, hugs, and some happy tears from parents and siblings. They decided to keep their wedding more traditional by no doing a first look. Instead, Chloe did a first look with her dad on the beautiful front porch of the venue. When it was time for newlywed portraits after the ceremony, Chloe and Tyler wanted to use as many good spot on the venue as possible. I loved this because it challenged me to use areas that I would normally overlook. And because it was an overcast day, I was able to use locations that are typically in harsh lighting.
The Venue
Hollyfield Manor is a venue that feels like home. Literally. Inside, the house feels warm and lived in. The venue cat, Sophia, is always popping up when it’s time for photos, and the South Carolina charm makes it feel so welcoming. Again, this venue offers tons of photo opportunity. Chloe and Tyler were able to use at least 5-6 different backdrops for their photos.
