We had the pleasure of photographing this elegant No. 303 Richmond wedding (historically known as Common House Richmond at 303 W. Broad St)! Lynley and Steven’s wedding took place in January so I loved how they incorporated deeper colors and warmer textures like velvet in to their wedding aesthetic.

The Venue

No. 303 Richmond (formerly Common House) is a social club in the heart of downtown. It is nestled tightly between other buildings on a buy city street. It has brilliantly curated city vibes but with a home like feel full of hospitality. The different floors within the building offer a number of options when it comes to photo backdrops. For Lynley and Steven’s wedding, we decided to use the vintage theater for some moodier romantic photos. We also used an upper level cafe with a nook for their first look. The reception went in to the evening with lots of food, dancing, and custom made pies (the couples favorite) until they finished the night with a fun wand exit!

The Wedding

Their ceremony took place at the Cannon Memorial Chapel on the grounds of The University of Richmond. Before the ceremony started, though, we took advantage of the courtyard and beautiful wooden double doors to take additional photos. As you can see in some of the photos below, Cannon Memorial Chapel offers a gorgeous sitting area for the bride that is perfect for additional bridal portraits or capturing last minute candid moments.

After the ceremony, we headed back to Common House for sunset portraits where we took advantage of the softer light on the rooftop. Lynley and Steven’s elegant No. 303 Richmond wedding was a great reflect of the heart and style of the city they reside in and I’m excited to share some of our favorite images!

updated post coming SOON!

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients beforehand that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to notice the small details and to respect ones natural body,  we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
