Historic Tuckahoe
Min and Michael’s Historic Tuckahoe wedding was an absolute vision come to life! This is our first time at this venue and it is already my top venue when it comes to photographic opportunity, it’s natural and organic feel, and overall romantic aesthetic. Situated on the outskirts of Richmond, The Historic Tuckahoe is the boyhood home of Thomas Jefferson.
Min chose to get ready at a nearby Airbnb while Michael got ready in one of the upstairs rooms of the main house. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a long driveway with tall trees on both sides forming a canopy. As you get closer to the venue, don’t be surprised to see free roaming sheep and chickens as the sheepdogs sleep nearby! What makes this venue magical is that it has the perfect combination of architecture (inorganic) and nature (organic). This may been insignificant, but when it comes to our photographic style, we lean heavily on both of those things equally.
The “I-Do’s”
Michael and Min said their vows under the most stunning backdrop surrounded by family, close-knit friends, and church family. This made their wedding have such an intimate feel. Everyone who attended truly knew and cared for them. After the ceremony, their guests enjoyed cocktail hour out in the gardens where they enjoyed a traditional Korean drink. Once the reception began, there was non stop socializing and dancing until the end.
We are excited to share this beautiful Historic Tuckahoe Wedding! Enjoy our MANY favorites!
