Fort Worth Botanical Gardens Engagement Session

Our blog has been collecting dust and we are long overdue for a new post!  What better session to blog than James and Jasmine’s amazing Fort Worth Botanical Gardens Engagement Session.  It was so much fun exploring a new location in a whole new state and I’m excited to share this session!

Getting the Ball Rollin..

When Jasmine initially contacted us about possibly photographing her wedding, one of the most important factors for her was being able to have her own wedding photographer photograph her Texas engagement session.  With their wedding being right here in Virginia at Kiln Creek Golf Club, and their residence in Texas, it would be “easy” to just find a photographer in Texas to photograph their engagement session.  But that would mean zero face to face time with their actual Virginia wedding photographer.  When Jasmine asked if I would be willing to travel for their session, I immediately jumped on the idea!

I LOVE finding new places to photograph, but to give me a chance to travel to a different state was just awesome!  Jasmine and James picked three locations before hand, one being Fort Worth Botanical Gardens.  I spent the day before their session exploring those places to get somewhat familiar with them.

On the day of their session, James and Jasmine showed up looking like FIRE!  Their black and gray outfits are one of my favorites!  It’s beautiful, timeless, and elegant.  Their session was extremely fun!  Right from the beginning, James and Jasmine were joking and laughing.  That always helps make their images feel so much more effortless!

With their engagement session in the books, Michael and I look forward to their wedding day and meeting all of their family and friends!

Enjoy some of our many favorites!

~Jasmine

updated post coming SOON!

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to pose and to notice the small details, we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
