Colonial Williamsburg Sunrise Engagement Session
I am so glad that the weather was favorable on Nicole’s last day in Virginia! She booked her engagement session with us MONTHS in advance and she would be coming in from Nova Scotia. Me knowing how weather here in Virginia could be up and down, I decided to not only block off her original date she choose for her session, but the whole weekend! I am so glad I did because it ended up snowing and raining Friday and Saturday but Sunday was absolutely perfect!
Nicole and Aerion met online shortly after she started her master’s degree at William and Mary (but soon we will be calling her Doctor!!!). Within 5 minutes of her completely her profile, Aerion found her and kept peeking at her profile! He wouldn’t say anything so Nicole messaged him and they both hit it off! After talking and texting non-stop, they met in person on their first date at Busch Gardens!
Nicole and Aerion have been together for 4 years but 2 of those years have been long distance as she is in Nova Scotia getting her doctorates degree. So glad that the distance between them will end as they tie the knot soon!!
Speaking of tying the knot, Nicole and Aerion’s proposal story is SO unique! They are both Blackbeard Pirate Festival fans. They dress up like pirates the entire weekend and they both really enjoy that time together. Well, Aerion decided to propose…just like a pirate! A few days before the festival, Aerion took Nicole to Ocean City Maryland. He booked a hotel right on the boardwalk with a beautiful ocean view. With the the ocean view behind them, Aerion got down on one knee and asked Nicole if “she would be his first mate”! How sweet is that! Nicole joked and say that she is actually the captain but she let’s him think otherwise!! (YEESSSS!!!). Their proposal was perfect and I am so honored to have been able to capture their engagement images!
