Yorktown Beach

Chris and Karen’s Yorktown Beach engagement session was perfect in so many ways!  First, the weather was warm and the backdrops were beautiful.  Second, Chris and Karen enjoyed their time with one anther which made the session so easy and natural!  Lastly, they both had never been to Yorktown Beach so the whole experience was new for them!

Karen made their engagement session even more special by adding things that were personal to them.  She decided to incorporate chalkboard signs and different items to make the engagement session unique to them and their love story!  In one of her ring shots, Karen wanted to incorporate a red fish hook because it was symbolic to when Chris proposed to her!

I just adore it when brides are so thoughtful like that!

After spending time with them during this session, I can tell that Chris and Karen are perfect for each other!  We are looking forward to their wedding in a few months but in the mean time, I will swoon over these beautiful engagement photos!

Finally, here are some of our favorites!

My favorite part of this session is when they closed their eyes, held each other close, and rested.

This is seriously my FAVORITE image of all time!  I love the colonial building the the background and the green garden in the foreground!  Perfect set up for these two!

updated post coming SOON!

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to pose and to notice the small details, we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
