Downtown Norfolk Engagement

Engagement sessions are my absolute favorite things to photograph. If I could do engagement sessions all day every day, I would. Why? Well, there just so fun! The first few minutes are a little awkward as everyone is adjusting, but after that, our couples really know how to relax and have a good time even when I tell them to do something silly!

Andy and Kaitlyn’s engagement session was seriously everything I could ask for in a session! They nailed every pose and even added their playfulness into a few of them! Kaitlyn decided on Downtown Norfolk as the location for their engagement session because of the variety of locations we can use. Norfolk is also where they live and where Andy is stationed. We started near the Pagoda and ended at the Neon District while stopping at different spots along the way like Freemason and the Chrysler Museum of the Arts.

I just LOVE capturing every minute of Andy and Kaitlyn’s engagement session!   We are so honored to be a part of their journey together and we can’t wait to capture their love again this summer at the Slover Library where they will say their “I Do’s!”

Enjoy some of our favorites from their session!

I love taking rings shots.  But what I love more is photographing unique rings like Kaitlyn’s.  Andy did a amazing job choosing a ring like this!!

I loved capturing this photograph as they shared a quiet moment near a busy street.

As wedding photographers, we are often taught to find and cater to our "ideal" clients.  "Ideal clients" are often a certain group of people with a certain style, budget, or personality!  While establishing your ideal clients is a great business practice, Michael and I have adopted a completely different view of this were EVERYONE has a seat at our table!
