Families

This family is very close to my heart! Shontelle is my oldest sister and, since my two sisters and I were foster kids, she became kind of like our mom when we were growing up. She has a amazing husband, Kashif, who had become a brother to me. Their kids, Jaylin and Alyana, are beautiful and I always look forward to loving on them when I see them!

We usually spend Thanksgiving Day with my sister but this year, she wanted to have a small family session before the sun went down. I honestly couldn’t wait because we spend a lot of time loving on new families we meet, but to have a chance to photograph our own family was extra special.

I am so proud of my sister and her husband in so many ways. They have weathered storms and have been there for me and my family in times of great need. They have build an amazing testimony and are great examples of how families should be!

I’m so honored to share their session with everyone! Enjoy!

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients beforehand that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to notice the small details and to respect ones natural body,  we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
