Diosa and Victor’s Richmond Maternity Session at Maymont takes first prize as being the most beautiful session to date! Their session truly reflects our ability to capture organic images in a soft and romantic way. The fact that these two are previous clients of ours really helped these two relax and trust my creativity! I must say though, Victor and Diosa are both gorgeous so my job was pretty easy!
As much as I LOVE capturing weddings, I honestly feel that I could photograph nothing but maternity sessions all day! It’s something about an expecting mother and I love!! Now I know that with pregnancy, sometimes we may go through moments where we feel unattractive. Because of that, I love showing mothers just how naturally beautiful they are! Maternity sessions are, in my opinion, the most easiest sessions for me to really pull out the best in my clients!
Diosa and Victor chose Maymont as their backup location due to rain. I’m so glad they did because Maymont compliments my photographic style so well and the gardens have a natural romantic, organic feel to it. They chose the color blue to represent the fact that they are having a boy and I can’t wait for his arrival! I hope to capture their family photos in the summer!!

In the image above, I typically would shun away from the light being so harsh on her face but, looking at it in a creative way, I saw it as in opportunity for the light to really draw our eyes to her beauty.
