So glad to finally share Leilani and Jesse’s Maymont & Belle Isle engagement session in Richmond, Va! The sun was completely gone during their session but, of course, Maymont provided plenty of open areas for great pictures! Leilani wanted a outdoorsy garden setting with possibly a lake. We talked about a few locations before deciding on Maymont and Belle Isle. Now…the part of Belle Isle that we photographed was a HIKE!! To be honest with you, I knew of that particular spot but I never knew how to get to it. I reached out to an amazing wedding planner in the Richmond area and she messaged me (with pictures!) and told me step by step how to get there! She even went there the day of to check to see if the water wasn’t too high for us!!
On the day of their session, we started at Maymont and they knocked it out of the park! I love Leilani’s grace and sense of style! Posing her was just so fun for me!! We only spent about 30 minutes photographing at Maymont before we had to leave to start are small hike to the rocks! Once we got there though, it was all worth it! I think some of my favorite images EVER are of them on the rocks!! I can’t wait to see Leilani and Jesse on their wedding day….too bad I have to wait until next year!!
