Anniversaries

We had the best time with Sean and April!  They celebrated their 5th year wedding anniversary at the beautiful Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia and decided to have an anniversary session while they stayed there.  We were so excited to able to photograph them on location!
As we were shooting, we realized these two reminded us of ourselves:  they laughed and joked with one another, but they were seriously in love!  It hardly seemed like a photo session because we had to much fun with them!

April brought along elements from their wedding such as her bouquet and their toasting glasses! One of my favorite parts of the session was when they reenacted their first dance!  IT WAS SO WONDERFUL!  Sean LOVES golf, so we HAD to get images of him on the green!

Their whole session was amazing and fun and we so hope to photograph their next anniversary!  Michael and I definitely have to take a small getaway at Kingsmill Resort.  It’s just to darn beautiful!

P.S.  Our favorite photo is the last one!  Scroll down to find out why!

This last image is our favorite!  We wanted to capture them having a romantic conversation.  So as Jasmine was raking her brain trying to think of what to give them to talk about, April turns towards Sean and looks into his eyes and says very matter-of-factly “What are we going to eat tonight” and everyone burst out in laughter!  Thank you for that moment April!

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to pose and to notice the small details, we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
