Sandbridge Engagement Session

Danielle recently contacted us to shoot and engagement sessions or her and Tj. When we talked on the phone, there was an excitement as Danielle told me about all her ideas she had! She sent me pictures of her ideas as well as photos of their two dogs, Lucy and Lola, that will be joining them on their session!

One of the things that was special for me was photographing Tj in his police uniform.  At the time of this session, Tj was a police officer for Virginia Beach.  They just recently moved to Kentucky where he will be joining the police force there!  For their session, Danielle wanted a rough and industrial background so that it complements is uniform.  Our original location ended up being off limits so Mike and I found an industrial park a few minutes down the road that was the perfect backdrop!

We finished the session on the beaches in Sandbridge.  The cotton candy skies couldn’t have been more beautiful!  Tj and Danielle snuggled in the tall grass and took a walk on the shore.  Their love and affection for one another showed so naturally through the camera!

I am so happy to share this session for everyone.  Tj and Danielle are settling into their new home in Kentucky and I am so excited for this new chapter for them!  We wish them the best and I know their wedding in November will be oh so beautiful.

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to pose and to notice the small details, we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
