Today on the blog, we are sharing Alicia and Camryn’s Chrysler Museum Norfolk Va wedding! This is our second time photographing at the Chrysler Museum and it truly is one of those venues that compliment are photographic style so well!

The day started off at the Hilton Main for the preparation and Father and Daughter first look! When booking a hotel, especially the Hilton Main, we HIGHLY suggest getting a suite. You will appreciate having the extra space, and plenty of natural light, for your getting ready photos! After preparations where complete, Michael joined the guys for some fun photos on Granby while Alicia and her father shared a first look on the third floor of the hotel lobby. After the first look, everyone met up at the Chrysler Museum for Alicia and Camryn’s beautiful first look followed by photos on the cobblestone streets!

Once photos were done, it was time for their Chrysler Museum Norfolk Va Wedding! Their ceremony, flanked with white florals and candles, involved the two of them sharing their handwritten vows. In their vows, Alicia talked about how she had made a list and in that list, she wrote down all the specific traits and qualities she wanted in a partner. Not even a week later, she met Camryn who checked off every box on her list! After their vows, there as no mistaking that they were truly in love and meant for each other.

One fun and different aspect of their wedding day was their night photos! Alicia sent me a night time inspo photo and I couldn’t wait to give that lighting technique a try! The technique I used required michael to stand behind me with the flash point direction up in the air with the bounce card pulled out of the flash. This give the lighting a more harsh or “polaroid” feel to it and I love it!

Enjoy some our our favorites!

updated post coming SOON!

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to pose and to notice the small details, we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
