Michael and I are pleased to share another Richmond wedding. This time, we are featuring Jacob and K’Ehleyr at the Virginia House. This venue was a new one for us this year and I must say that it compliments are photography style so well! From the lighting, the chic, romantic aesthetic, and the lushous greens, this venue is our new favorite!
Jacob and K’Ehleyr started their day at Linden Row Inn. I loved this hotel for its large windows, and ample space. When it comes to your getting ready photos, you can never have too much space or natural light! Michael and I took advantage of the floor to ceiling windows and took some gorgeous getting ready shots of two of them.
Linden Row is about 10 minutes away from the Virginia House.
For their ceremony, Jacob and K’Ehleyr opted to use the stone arches as their backdrop instead of the garden. I loved this idea becuase for one, they had a more intimate guest count, and two, the garden may tend to be overly bright depending on the time of day. The stone arches provide both and beatiful backdrop and soft lighting as it is nestled under a large magnolia tree.
For their first look and portraits, there were so many places to use! I love that Virgina House has so many backdrops to offer. We saved some locations for their sunset photos just to utilize more softern lighting. So, keep in mind, if you are having your wedding at Virgina House, some spots in the garden may look better if you wait until golden hour or some time later in the day!
Thank you for visiting our blog and we are excited to share some of our favorites from Jacob and K’Ehleyr’s wedding day!
