Oak Grove Lake Park Engagement Session

Sarah and Albert’s Oak Grove Lake Park engagement session is pretty special to me.  Not only did I get to meet this beautiful couple for the first time on their session, I also got to explore this new and amazing location!  Oak Grove Lake Park is a perfect place for pictures because it has plenty of open light as well as tall, framing trees!

A High School Friendship

Albert and Sarah first meet in 2010 while in a Spanish class in high school.  They would always flirt but finally started dating in 2014.  Some things they Albert and Sarah love doing as a couple are fresh water fishing and going to the movies!

How He Proposed

Albert and Sarah recently closed on their first home in May.  Right after obtaining the keys, they went to check out the house.  Sarah was standing in the kitchen looking around when Albert called for her to look at something.  As she walked out of the kitchen, there he was on in the hall on one knee.  According to Sarah,  “It was the perfect ending to an already perfect day.”

I loved getting to spend time with them during their engagement session!  My favorite part of photographing them in their “fiancé” t-shirst and, might I add, Sarah has the most beautiful curly hair I have EVER seen!  Enjoy our favorites!!

updated post coming SOON!

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to pose and to notice the small details, we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
