Historic Post Office Fall Wedding
Getting to blog this wedding makes me so happy! After a busy October and our blog being in a virtual traffic jam, it feels good to get back on track by sharing Jake and Alexandra’s amazing fall wedding at the Historic Post Office!
I have been looking forward to their wedding since their engagement session at Castle Hill Cider in November of last year! These two have impeccable taste and style! Honestly, when couples ask me for outfit suggestions for their upcoming engagement session, Jake and Alexandra’s session is one that I often send to them for inspiration! Seriously though, taking one of our favorite couples and pairing it with one of our favorite venues, we just knew it was going to be an amazing day!
Attention to Detail
Besides beauty, kindness, and elegance, Alexandra has STYLE!! Every detail from the ceremony to the reception flowed together beautifully! Her wedding colors were inspired by her love for their alma mater, Virginia Tech, as well as her love for fall! And I just so happened to have a spool of silk ribbon in her wedding colors that added such a beautiful touch when photographing her invitations!
A Palpable Joy
As Jake and Alexandra prepared for their wedding, there was a joy and homelike feel in the air. Their dog Kora hung out with Jake and his guys and you could sometimes hear her bark at someone coming through the door! Alexandra’s bridesmaids filled the bridal suite with chatter as they helped me hang their dressing. These are the wedding I live for!!
When the preparations were completed, we headed outside for their first look and portraits! Alexandra and Jake planned their wedding so well, that I had SO MUCH portrait time with them! I was so thankful for that because their finished wedding gallery will be filled with so much variety!
I don’t know who is more excited: Jake and Alexandra because they will be getting their pictures soon; or ME because I get to edit such an amazing wedding for a very deserving bride and groom!
I’m so overjoyed for Alexandra and Jake and I’m pleased to finally share their amazing wedding with the world!!

You are a beautiful couple. I am so sorry I did not get to see you both in person. All the pic’s are so sweet. I hope you both have a wonderful, happy, healthy, loving life together. Alexandra your mom was so proud of you, she looked beautiful aslo. I loved that your dad John and Bob walked with you to give you to your groom Jack. I wish you both all the best always and forever. One word of advice from me. Alway kiss each other good morning and good night. And never go to bed if you are having a bad day. Tell each other you love each other everyday. And always take to each other about everything you are feeling good or bad. It takes two people to make your marriage wort. Love you both.
