Virginia Beach Surprise Proposal
I am so thrilled to share this surprise proposal! Ryan contacted me weeks in advance to plan the more perfect proposal! He had been planning this surprise proposal for a while. He already picked the perfect spot in Virginia Beach and he had the perfect ring. The only thing was, it ended up calling from rain that day. And it did rain, like cat’s and dogs type of rain! Wanting to finally propose to his love, he asked if I could go ahead with it even in the rain. Absolutely I could! I packed my rain gear and headed to the spot he picked out.
The whole time I’m driving, the rain is beating against my windshield and I could barely see. The funny thing is, I had this sort of peace that this was going to work out, so I kept on driving. And do you want to know something…as soon as I drove into Virginia Beach, the sky almost instantly cleared up and there was the most beautiful pink and blue sky. The sun shined ever so softly through the clouds and it ended up being the most perfect weather. This day couldn’t have been more beautiful.
The Moment Finally Came
As I waiting in my spot, I calmed my nerves and steadied my camera. I heard the sounds of laughter and chatter and as soon as I saw Ryan take Julia to the spot here he would propose, I turned my camera towards them and started shooting.
Tears filled Julia’s eyes as she realized what was happening.
Ryan got down on one knee as asked her to be his wife….and she said YES!
I stayed my distance as they shed tears and embraced each other. It was such a beautiful moment!
Once they had time to take it all in, I came over, congratulated them, and gave them a small engagement session!
I am so happy for this season of life that Ryan and Julia are in together! To be there to witness the beginning of their journey together was such an honor and I am excited to share some of my favorite images with everyone!
