A Historic Yorktown Wedding
Daniel and Kristin’s wedding at the Freight Shed in Historic Yorktown was absolutely fun! It rained off and on with really bad downpours here and there but it didn’t put a damper on their wedding day! They had a blast regardless of the weather and they celebrated like there was no tomorrow!
We first photographed Daniel and Kristin during their engagement session at Fort Monroe. The session went so well that we immediately couldn’t wait for their wedding! Kristin picked soft, spring color for her wedding like sage and light purple with hints of pale yellow! She designed and arranged her bouquets AND picked out the most unique bridesmaids dresses that had a gorgeous print that matched her wedding colors! I definitely admire her creativity and eye for color.
A Beautiful Beginning
Kristin and Daniel got ready for their wedding in the comfort of their home along with their wedding party and sweet dog Missy. I love the idea of getting ready in your home because it’s a familiar setting that brings about a calm amidst a busy day. Once everyone was ready to go, we all headed to the Yorktown Freight Shed were Daniel and Kristin wanted to took a few photos holding hands without seeing one another. It’s so exciting to see a groom so close to his bride yet he’s not able to gaze at her! As they held hands, they talked and asked each other how they were doing. They talked about their wedding and just enjoyed that last moment holding hands before they’re married!
Their ceremony took place under a white tent where a cellist played as the Kristin walked down the aisle. They read each other their own handwritten vows and sealed the deal with a sand ceremony and a kiss!
We loved with wedding and enjoyed photographing everyone dance the night away! We congratulate Daniel and Kristin on their new life together and wish them nothing but the best!!
Enjoy some of our favorites!
