Historic Yorktown

Chelsey and Rod’s Historic Yorktown engagement session was just…SWOON WORTHY!  There was golden light EVERYWHERE and anything in Yorktown makes for a beautiful backdrop.  It seemed like every backdrop we posed these two in front of complemented them so well!  And Chelsey!!  She is so amazingly beautiful that I hardly had to pose her at all!  Rod is definitely one lucky guy that’s for sure!

We loved how they played together in front of the camera and thanks to Rod, we were able to capture so many genuine smiles from these two.  I always tell our couples that its okay to feel awkward in the beginning of a session, since it’s not everyday we all pose in front of a camera with and overly excited lady taking to you!, but from the moment of the very first pose, this sweet couple rocked it!  Chelsey and Rod were effortlessly natural!

What made this session all the more special for me was the chance to love on another fur baby!  Roscoe, their Corgi-mix (he’s a Schnorgi!) baby, was just the cutest!!!!  I seriously wanted to steal him!  He did all his poses for his mom and dad and I know that they are proud of him!  Make sure you follow this cute pup on Instagram @rogojoruff

Here are some of our favorites.  Enjoy!

updated post coming SOON!

As wedding photographers, we are often told by clients that they are awkward and nervous in front of a camera and that they just want to look and feel natural!  We all can relate to that!  I too feel awkward during family photos.  However, I've learned that by having a strong ability to pose and to notice the small details, we can make every look great and feel like their natural selves!
